Clear terms for confident collaboration.
DigiLingu blends human expertise with cutting-edge technology to help brands communicate, connect, and grow across languages and markets. Since 2014, we’ve delivered expert translation, localization, content, web, SEO, and digital marketing solutions. These Terms explain how we work together — fairly, transparently, and with the same precision we bring to every project.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“Client”, “you”) and DigiLingu (“we”, “us”, “our”). By visiting digilingu.com, requesting a quote, placing an order, or using any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you act on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If a signed project agreement or NDA conflicts with these Terms, the signed document prevails for that project.
Our Services
DigiLingu combines vetted native experts with technology to deliver eight core services:
Each project’s exact scope, languages, volume, and deadline are defined in the written quote or order confirmation.
Quotes & Orders
- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise and are based on the files and information you provided.
- An order is confirmed when you accept the quote in writing (email or project platform) or make the first payment.
- If the final content differs from what was quoted (volume, format, languages, urgency), we will issue a revised quote before continuing.
- Rush or out-of-hours requests may carry a surcharge, always disclosed in advance.
Fees & Payment
Prices are stated in the quote’s currency and exclude taxes, bank fees, and withholding unless noted.
- Late payments may pause work and delay delivery; we may charge reasonable late fees where the law allows.
- Ownership of final deliverables transfers only after full payment (see Section 07).
- Third-party costs (stock media, fonts, licenses, ad spend) are billed separately and only with your approval.
Client Responsibilities
Great results depend on good inputs. You agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate, editable source files, briefs, glossaries, and style guides on time.
- Confirm you own or have the right to use all materials you submit.
- Respond to queries and approvals promptly; delays on your side may move delivery dates.
- Not submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful content.
- Tell us in advance if content is highly sensitive so we can apply stricter controls.
Confidentiality
We treat your documents, brand assets, and communications as confidential by default. All linguists and team members sign NDAs and access only the segments needed for their task.
Confidentiality does not cover information that is public, already known to us, independently developed, or that we must disclose by law. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
- Your materials: you keep all rights to the content you provide. You grant us a limited licence to use it solely to perform the services.
- Deliverables: upon full payment, rights in the final deliverables created for you transfer to you, excluding third-party materials and our pre-existing tools.
- Our tools & know-how: our methods, templates, workflows, and software remain ours.
- Translation memories & glossaries: ownership of client-specific assets stays with you; we may retain anonymized, non-identifying linguistic data only if you agree.
- Portfolio: we will not name you or show your work publicly without written permission.
Delivery & Revisions
Deadlines are agreed per project and depend on timely inputs. Our typical flow:
We confirm scope, languages, and timeline.
Native experts deliver, then a second review checks quality.
Files are sent through email or our secure channel.
Report issues within 7 days of delivery. Corrections to our work are free.
Changes in preference or scope after approval (new instructions, rewritten source text) are treated as new work and quoted separately.
Quality & Warranty
We follow ISO 17100-aligned workflows and stand behind our work. If a deliverable materially deviates from the agreed brief or contains genuine errors, we will correct it at no cost within a reasonable time.
- Language is partly subjective; stylistic preferences that do not affect accuracy are not defects.
- We are not responsible for errors caused by faulty, unclear, or changed source material.
- Web, SEO, and marketing results (rankings, traffic, conversions) depend on factors outside our control, and we do not guarantee specific outcomes.
- Except as stated here, services are provided without other warranties to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiLingu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm, arising from the use of our services.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees you paid for that project. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud or wilful misconduct. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
Cancellation & Termination
Either party may end an ongoing engagement with 14 days’ written notice. We may suspend or terminate immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or submit unlawful content.
Website Use & Third Parties
- You may browse digilingu.com for lawful, personal, or business purposes. Do not scrape, disrupt, attempt unauthorized access, or copy our content without permission.
- Website text, design, logos, and trademarks belong to DigiLingu or its licensors.
- Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
- Where we use third-party platforms (hosting, payments, collaboration tools), their terms may also apply.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the DigiLingu entity named in your quote or invoice, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We encourage you to contact us first: most issues are resolved quickly through direct discussion.
If we cannot agree within 30 days, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless your mandatory consumer rights provide otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Changes & Contact
We may update these Terms as our services and laws evolve. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced by email or a website notice, and apply to new orders from the effective date. Orders already confirmed remain under the Terms in force when they were accepted.
